Learn how to use a Maclaurin series to evaluate a limit. We'll find the Maclaurin series for sinx, then substitute the first several terms of the series into our function so that we're taking the limit of an entirely polynomial function.

Hi, I’m Krista! I make math courses to keep you from banging your head against the wall. ;)

Math class was always so frustrating for me. I’d go to a class, spend hours on homework, and three days later have an “Ah-ha!” moment about how the problems worked that could have slashed my homework time in half. I’d think, “WHY didn’t my teacher just tell me this in the first place?!”

Was doing a review our professor gave us for an exam and I realized we NEVER learned this. Thank you for making our lives easier and thank God for the internet.

You were I guess the first person, who answered my question of when to use Taylor/Macllaurin series while evaluating limits? And I understood it now . So thanks a ton :)

Hey in quite a few of my exercises I've encountered the case, to use your example, of not having "+1/6(x)^3" meaning that if I were to distribute I would end up with x in a denominator making it not solvable....how do am I supposed to move foward?

Thank you sooo much. I did well on the exam today because of your video. we just had an exam in advanced math and our instructor decided that it was a good idea to introduce a new topic and conduct another exam next week. So I was wondering, do you have any videos about the fourier series? Coz your videos are amazing and your amazing. thanks again. :)

If possible please tell me steps by step on how to sollve this limit using maclaurin series.
Lim x->0 ((tanx/x)^(1/x^2)).
It's for my exams and I am just not able to sollve it.:(

mainly a mechanistic exposition and not the principles behind taylor or mclaurin

Can't you use L'Hopital's Theorem to evaluate for this limit as well?

I don't know, but I feel like I cannot prove what I am doing, so all this stuff seem worthless.
