Using a Series Expansion to Evaluate Limits

In this video we have to compute a seemingly tricky limit.
The idea is that we can simply use the Taylor Series expansion for arctan(x), followed by a few simplifications in order to evaluate the limit.

2:13 he meant distribute the negative"-" not distribute the "x". just incase some are confused like i was.

the convention is to write the inverse of tangent as tan^-1 (x) or arctan(x). when you write it as (tan x)^-1 then it means the reciprocal of tan x.

How did you expand the value of Tan inverse ? I know its the formula but what you did after the formula, I didn't get that part.

Nice video, but how to tell when to use Taylor series expansion, because there are other limit equations with Tancredo, since etc. We don't usually evaluate thhem through expansion, so is it a matter of choice?

How would you do the limit of ln(x)/(x-1) as x approaches 1?

what about when x approaches infinity? you couldn't use the maclaurin series to approximate the terms then, right? i assume you used the taylor series instead, but i'm not sure quite how
