Thanks for this video. I purchased this equipment and found that it absolutely works. I was having so much trouble trying to clone my old drive. Working offline, this performed great. I watched a lot of these videos then decided to go the easy way. Made a boot disc (USB), installed my SSD, boot from the disc and installed the OS on the SSD. Finished in no time.Then copied my files that I had saved on a USB

Nice devices Brian. I find the disk cloning tool a great piece of hardware for cloning drives without taking my PC out of use. Just switch it on and leave it to get on with the work.
Out of interest what was the internal transfer speed like, and will this one support intelligent sector copy?

If updating from Win 7 to Win 10, I would clone the Win 7 drive first, then do the update to the new drive. That way, if anything went wrong in the update, I'd still have the original OS.

But you gave me an idea here I have some mechanical hard drives which, is left when I have completely switched to ssd disks. So the hard drive enclosure you showed was very interesting. I use minitool partition wizard. Free and easy to use

I use Acronis . These tools only let you clone to a drive that is bigger or the same size as the original. They also take a lot longer than Acronis.
