How To clone A Hard Drive

Here is how to clone a bootable windows hard drive. Thanks a lot! I'm getting one of these. One question. When I clone a GPT drive will it convert an MBR drive to GPT like the drive being cloned? That would be a huge plus.

Hey so this might be a noob question but i‘m getting mixed answers on forums. Do i need to initialize the target disc before cloning? Or can i straight out the box pop a new disc into slot B and clone?

Any idea what it instantly showing 4 blue lights means as soon as starting an offline cloning? I can't find anything online that explains what to do in this case. Technically it should mean it's done cloning which it sure isn't given it's been half a second.

Does this also help delete hard drives? Say, if I have nothing in slot 1/a and I put a drive in slot 2/b?

It's just the opposite on model EC-HDD2. Slot A or HDD-1 is on the right. Target slot is on the left. Good instructional video. Short and to the point.

I’m using this to offline clone an old 1tb HDD to new 2tb SSD. It’s been blinking at 25% for three hours. What happens if the process is stopped/interrupted? Will source data be lost? Or new SSD damaged? Or, can I have a redo without any issues?

I have the same one been working for a while but all of a sudden it won’t flash anymore ? Is there a reason ? It turns on and I hold until the last light comes on and then I’ll click it and then it’ll just light up all the lights. No more flashing and it doesn’t go to where it starts flashing from left to right until completion? Is it broken? I have not dropped it only used it a 4-5 times.
