Dishwasher Repair - Replacing the Center Spray Arm (Frigidaire Part # 154792602)

As a widowed mother of 4 children, having someone show me how to make repairs myself is a big help to me. I figure if it can be fixed, I'd rather do that than spend money on a new appliance. And if I can fix it myself instead of paying a repairman, even better! It seems there's always something new breaking down every time I turn around. Thanks to YouTube, today I have removed the agitator from my washing machine and am now waiting on the cam kit to arrive tomorrow to fix my non-agitating washing machine and I've cleaned the filters and arms of my dishwasher after it quit cleaning my dishes 6 months ago! I'm running the dishwasher through a cleaning cycle now and hopefully, I will find a simple cleaning to have done the trick. Thank you for demonstrating what may seem obviously simple to some. I've enlarged my know-how a little more today and maybe I can help someone else with similar breakdowns.

Thanks Steve for the video. I have a Miele model. Spary arm came out from the middle tray. I was thinking the spray arm sit on back wall of the machine. Went to Miele service centre - no help. Just after watching your video fix it with in minutes. Thanks again

Thank you very much for the video. While the operation did appear very simple initially, I am always concerned about dealing with these plastic parts - they are often fragile and if you push it too much you can break it. Especially the silly ones like those little blockers at the end :) And it is very disappointing to break brand new part so I always try to find a video showing the process, if possible. Yours is very helpful.

Also (re: Andy) I also had the problem with that rubber "coupler". It's got broken and partially melted over time. I find it very silly that Frigidaire does not sell $3 rubber seal and wants us to buy $40 part instead. By the way, now it is even worse - at least here in Canada you cannot buy this spray arm alone anymore!!! Frigidaire only offers the ENTIRE RACK ASSEMBLY for about $85!!!! This is outrageous. Why would I need to replace the entire upper rack for $3 piece of rubber??? It looks like they simply want to screw up their customer even more than before. Actually, if you think about it...$450 10-year-old dishwasher....$85+shipping to fix the problem...buying new dishwasher does not seem to be that impractical. Anyway, I just went to US and bought this spray arm for $37 on Amazon. God bless the US, they save us, Canadians, from the greed of our companies ;)

Thank you for this video! That arm had gotten clogged and I had no idea how to get it off. Still a pain in the ass to clean out the clogs, but this at least made it possible! :)
