Ikinakatuwa ko na di mo kinalimutan ang inyong sariling wika, even though you had minor struggles in learning it... There's probably nothing wrong if we didn't learn our own language kung lumaki tayo sa ibang bansa. I mean, may mga pinsan ako na lumaki sa kabilang ibayo, di nila alam magtagalog at nasanay sa ingles, subalit isa sa kanila nakakaunawa nmn ng tagalog pati Ilocano. But of course, its a lot better if we did, cuz extra skill din yan (language proficiency) na maaari nating ilagay sa ating CV. Anyways, your parents did a really good job in raising you as well. God bless always~ :)

Moral of this video.. If you want to learn a certain skill, make sure you're passionate about it so you won't think of giving up. And of course, accept and respect diversity.

Wala na akong masasabi kababayan na natin si Ms. Hana Cho, yung ugali natin na adopt niya din tapos yung pagiging masiyahin ng mga pilipino nasa kanya na 'din. We will support your vlog! Para sa akin tunay ka ng pilipino. God bless! <3

Many Filipino-Chinese people have the same experience as yours. Hirap na silang matuto ng Hokkien o Mandarin dahil dito na sila lumaki.

As a Fil-Am, I am slightly jealous of how well everyone speaks Tagalog and then there's me understanding but struggling to get by speaking lol I came across this video and I'm learning Korean as well! Your tips work well with general language learning and I will use that to help with my language learning journey. And hopefully my Tagalog speaking skills will get better as well!

constantly listening to a language you will adapt and eventually speak the language itself I don't understand Cebuano but my parents always talked Cebuano eventually naintindihan ko na rin. English I learned sa school even in public schools I remember from grade 3 all the way to the university English language is used in all our subjects also in all of the textbooks we only have Filipino as one subject so sometimes if I can't express myself in Tagalog I used English.

Very interesting ang story mo about languages. Me I grew up in Pampanga came to US at 12 years old, dito naman ako natutong magtagalog because of my Filipino friends. And now Taglish na ako then baluktot na ang kapampangan ko, but I still understand and can write as well. Believe it or not, I'm learning Korean via Youtube, because I watch a lot of KDramas, I've learned all the letters muna and numbers and maybe more than 100 words for now, but like you said mahirap siya. Ang galing talaga ang Tagalog mo, congrats!

Dude. Love how you explained how you learned Tagalog. Lol. I stayed in the Philippines for 10 months when I was 6 then came back to the USA but that's how I learned...it just stuck with me. I also would mix Tagalog and Ilocano and I didn't realize it at that time because the town I stayed at spoke ilocano. Lol. Totally enjoy your personality. Thank you for posting and putting a smile on my face.

Your language challenges paid well. You know more local dialects/language than me, an actual fil, living in PH.

This is the first time I came across your blog and I am liking you, I was born in San Fernando Pampanga where you said you lived for 10 years. Just so surprised that you can speak Tagalog so well. Yes true Filipino is a very easy language cause it’s phonetically pronounced n read. Keep up the blogs common
