"The Warship Rocinante"... Oh man, loved that. I think it's the only time Holden ever pushed its weight around like that.

The show brilliantly portrays the realities of space warfare - no matter how big and powerful the ship is, a donnybrook in space is dangerous. There are no magic shields, armour and PDCs offer only so much protection. Hull penetrations are matter of fact and expected, fights are brief and deadly. Just like realities of 21st century conventional warfare, it's all about maneuver warfare, firing LOTS of bullets in the enemy's direction and hoping for the best. Oh, and there is no cover.

Best show involving space i've ever seen (and im a huge star wars and star trek fan). The acting is supurb, story is mindblowingly wonderful, and the cast is simply perfection. Just when you think you know whats going on the game changes, but not so extreme that it leaves you, more like it leaves you in awe. A+ show called The Expanse.

My fav James Holden speech. Best sci fi show ever - this is how you should be doing it. Great grown-up story telling. A fantastic, diverse cast of characters you can believe in. Good science despite the added cost of effects. Sci Fi for an adult audience made by people with the passion needed to get it right.

I love how both of them look slightly surprised that no one challenged them on their threat, like Alex was surprised Holden was right, but then when the camera goes to Holden, you see the same kinda surprised look, kinda like 'well shit that actually did work' just makes you love the story writing that much more.
