A classic scene from season 2 of possibly my all time favourite episode of The Expanse. Requested by a viewer on my last channel, of low growly tone Holden, threatening a whole fleet of warships and getting away with it. Like Holden always does.

With all the amazing strong characters in this show like Amos, Bobbie or Drummer it is easy to overlook the sheer force of nature that is Holden and how he changes over the seasons, becoming tougher, meaner and a natural leader. That moment in season 4 where he whups Murtrys butt was such a pleasant surprise.

and btw; I love that shot at 3:13. It's the good old "act tough" because you can clearly see how Holden's thinking "damn, I almost got them killed because I was going on that stupid chase after the hybrid instead of helping my folks"

What I love about Jim in both adaptations, the show and the novels. Is that he isn't necessarily wise but more so that he always does what he thinks is right. No matter the cost. The only time he questions himself is when the whole crew is in danger.

Holden saying "we'll all die together" reminds me of the scene in Star Trek: The Next Generation Season 3 Episode 10 "The Defector" when Captain Picard (with the aide of Klingons) is in a standoff against Romulan Commander Tomalak, and Captain Picard says, "shall we die together?". Both shows capture the sentiment around deterrence through "mutually assured destruction" really well.
