I do not play courses that are pristine for either pros or country club members. One course I do play in particular has a number of trees with low hanging limbs, that do NOT lend themselves to this much illustrated 3/4 swing. You're OFTEN lucky if you can take the club halfway back... or front. I practice a very confined swing back.. then forth. I generally use a five-iron - something I can choke down on ... and punch down at the ball. If I can sometimes get greedy enough, a 3-hybrid can work.

No matter how well I pull off the shot, luck - often bad - will play a role. The ball takes off, but hits mammoth tree roots. Or worse, when outside the cart path, hit a shot that catches the OUTside of the cart path. Either of those scenarios elicits a "gosh dern". Okay maybe worse.
