If I had the opportunity, then I'd move far away. Start a whole new life.
Being stuck in an area with bad old memories eats you up from the inside.

I left home at 23 and backpacked across central America for two years and spent a year doing disaster relief work for a year in Puerto Rico. Leaving home was the greatest experience of my life.... But I couldn't fight the feeling that life is more than being above average and chasing goals and novel experiences....Your family is a beautiful thing. It became more important to to be average and spend time an average life with my family members. Being there for the simple life is golden.

My life improved so much after moving away from my home town. So many new friends, hobbies and experiences

I resonate heavily with this. Moved from my hometown and I've made an immense amount of connections, and started 2 businesses since then. I have more going on here in just a few years than I did for more than 20 years in my hometown. Insane.

I did move from my hometown and home state and now I’m miserable and completely regret it because Arizona is trash.

One the one hand 'wherever you go, there you are'. Moving will definitely not always solve everything. But I also know traveling alone and moving to Hong Kong for a year inspired massive growth and expanded my comfort zone (+ huge cities offer way more opportunities than 10.000 people cowtowns)

Left my hometown 3 years ago. Have a good job, my own place, just got married, dream truck. Life is good and none of that would’ve happened had I not made the leap and taken a chance!

simply leaving your hometown doesn't mean you are successful, and most people who do are still "average". I've lived in 3 different cities, and somehow I'm back to the one I went to highschool in. I'm happy, and that's all that matters. "wherever you go, you take yourself with you"

The world offers many perceptions, but YOU will always be wherever you go... you are your hometown, believe in yourself and you won't have to travel anywhere

I’m scared to get out of my comfort zone but I need to. I can’t say I’m ready to make that leap but I don’t want to regret not trying

Exactly what I needed to hear today! Thank you!

Four years ago, I moved to the UK in order to study and I feel like I learnt a lot and made the most of it. Now is time to plan moving to another country and starting fresh.

I live in a small city which I grew up in and the odds of me running into someone I know is really high which I can’t stand. I want to start fresh where no one knows me.

If you're going to move to a new place by yourself, probably best to get it done before 30 too. Don't wait! If you do it too late in life, it's pretty hard to have a social life, it's doable, but not like when you're in your 20s. One of the biggest things I'd change about my past if I could would be moving to a place with a good economy and things to do WAY earlier in life.

Cole, you've made this video at the PERFECT time for me.

I'm Irish and was so sick of the the mediocre lifestyle of living in a small town so went to Manchester for university and life really started opening up.

After graduating last summer I moved back to Ireland and for the past 11 months I have fucking hated it, doing the same shit every single day, not making any new friends or having new experiences, just stuck in Limbo.

But guess what baby, yah boy has gotten a lot of freelance video editing and writing work and was able to afford to move back to an apartment in Manchester! I'm leaving next week! Cannot fucking wait, keep up the great shit Cole, videos are amazing fr.
