Can someone please help me ? I’ve looked at every video. I think they updated ProTools and this doesn’t work anymore. I get to the zero crosssing point, I get the value of the tempo, I input it and I have to change the Note to actually play the speed of the beat I got from YouTube.

I literally follow every step and I don’t know exactly what’s wrong. If someone can please respond, it’d help me out so much

Can you make an updated version of this video Wayne ?

Great methods! I’ve gotten used to just finding the first downbeat when the drums kick in and begin my clip there. Then I slide that to bar 1 and just adjust the tempo up and down till it looks correct. Then I just fly down and playback from different bars to confirm I found it.

What happens if your trying to find the beat of a song played by musicians?? The bpm of the song always changes over time so the click will get faster or slower than the track and the bpm will be off. This beat you're using was created to a grid so it should always stick to the tempo

Hey I enjoy your videos! Just curious why you wouldn't use the tab to transients feature in Pro Tools to establish the start and end of a beat? Wouldn't it be more accurate? Thanks for all the help!

Please help. When i change the tempo the speed of the song changes. I know its a simple setting however no one seems to address it. I just want to change the tempo where the grid aligns with the beat

Wow! I needed this! I was doing it the long way by bringing it into Traktor pro to get the bpm then write it lol

Hey everyone. I have a question that hopefully can be answered here. I am switching from studio one to protools just to more easily send sessions to my engineer. In studio one all i had to do was type in the tempo and it would alogn my teo track to the grid no issue. However when j do this in protools after i import the beat it just speeds up the beat or slows it down and ifnindonit before i import the beat itndoesnt align with the gird. Could anyone tell me what im doing wrong? I like to have all these things taken care of so my engineer doesnt have to waste time doing these things before he can actually start mixing.

I don’t think that was a 2 bar loop, I think it was actually a 4 bar loop, but I’m not sure?

When I tap it in it slows the whole beat down
