Woodturning - This Lump of Wood Was Full of Nails!?

Welcome to Ian Mac Woodturning! In this weeks turning video I used a piece of rescued Poplar which was full of nails, check out how beautiful the grain inside this piece was! I was really surprised how nice the wood was on this one.

Sounds like you found some old tree someone nailed something to. They were pretty stout looking nails, very little rust that I could see. You turned the wood into an excellent vase! I love the resin filled gap on the top where the handle sticks out of.

They nailed the nail in backwards? Did they fail to read the directions? Or maybe they used the hammer the wrong way too. 😂

4:54 if this is a water-based wood glue then using it in this way was operator error.
