Wood Turning - A Passive Phone Speaker From A Lump of Wood!

In this video I had some fun turning a passive speaker from a lump of cypress that was lying around.

I tested myself as I don't have a steady rest so this was on the limits that I felt comfortable turning but I am happy with the result. As always a nice learning curve to be had - what are your thoughts?

The finished used was once again Collombatti Naturals Linseed and Bees wax polish. Please note that I am not associated, endorsed or know them personally but just like the product!

** My videos are for entertainment purposes only. I am 100% self taught and the tools, techniques and methods I use may not always be the most conventional, safe or correct way of doing things.

Stay safe & happy!

That looks awesome. Do you think it could be improved for better sound?

I've been thinking about turning a wooden horn, like a bugle, and putting a trombone mouthpiece on it. I know Vikings would make horns out of wood if they couldn't find an actual horn. The mouthpiece will ensure that it will at least sound decent. That's just what I've been thinking of, and this is halfway there, just turn another section that fits together to make it twice as long.
