Tuffy just sent me a picture of a Coast Tea Tree, found in the San Francisco area. Looks like this is not a root, just a part of that twisted tree! 😊

It’s a turtle, Phil. There is no need to apologise for being crazy - you are in good company. Love the finish 🌞

It looks like it should be in a fairy garden. Gorgeous, it looks very touchable.

Thank You Phil....WOW YOU actually figured out how to hold and turn that knarley dude!!!... Well Phil you must know now that you have upped my "Phil wood" searching/collecting game. The more twisted the better., ha!!! ... Over the years you have defined your style. I think, you have perfected your style of "wonderfulness" and you know exactly how to approach the un-approachable with very positive results. All of that knowledge comes from just doing & Phil YOU are doing pretty darn good. You have said in the past "I do not have an artistic bone in my body", ha. Time for you to sit back and look at what you have created with that non artistic bone of yours... You have made so much fun this afternoon and I always look forward to next Thursday....Beautiful bowl Phil ... TM
PS- It could be "Tea Tree" wood from San Francisco and not a root ball but a limb. Tea Trees are just strange trees and all over the City planted in the 20's

The distance between crazy and genius is often short. You aren't crazy! It's amazing what you do with such challenging pieces of wood.

Nerves of steel working on that beauty.
Make sure you are wearing your safety squints!
Thank you for keeping the sides natural. It's amazing
I could look at that for the rest of my life and still be blowen away with its beauty.

One of the coolest of the root balls you have turned Phil. I would say it was Phil meets nature and we win. If it was a movie it would be called "Phil Meets Root Ball"
I see the face but the first one I saw was where you pointed to an area and said you want to do something with it. Looks like one of those little bulldogs with its lower chin sticking out.
Great turning my friend,
Gary

Too see the beauty nature gives us, appreciate it without trying to alter is a gift. You have that gift and it's a pleasure to watch.😊

We coffee folks enjoyed this one, also! Hubby loves watching your videos because you explain thoroughly what you are doing at what speed, with what tool and what you finish with. Very interesting wood pieces, too! Thank You so much.
Cheers & Blessings 👍

Hey you guys, please listen up. We are not doing enough for Phil. We all must share his master pieces for the world to enjoy, his ideas, skills, passion and experience. Please share his videos or send them any way you choose to get him to at least 100K subscribers. He is such a humble, skillful, energetic artist-wood turner and we all need to promote his work, any which way. Thanks a lot, and hope for 100K by Easter time. Love to all, love to Phil from Greece ❤❤❤

Wow, so much happening in this piece! It really is a beauty. The head you pointed out looks like it belongs to a turtle with a very elaborate shell. Thank you, Phil and Tuffy!
