The United States has only recorded about forty-five fatal alligator attacks and one hundred eighty shark attacks in the last few centuries. Statistically, it's a minuscule figure, but we advise you not to neglect your own safety.

So, are we gonna talk about how Jordan's mom is a kick ass hero. That woman literally fought a top predator to save her child.

I don’t think you can call it murder when it’s a wild animal. It’s hunger and survival that drives them, not jealousy, rage, robbery etc. it’s unfortunate to be killed by an animal, but it’s a risk we take when we enter their territory. I am fully aware that if I go swimming in the ocean or running in the East African wilderness, I am entering the food chain, and not at the top.

The best things about animals is they never learned to lie about what they were.

I’m from FL (born and raised) but no longer there. You MUST be extremely cautious with all bodies of water there. You’ll find snakes, gators, sharks, jellyfish, you name it. The saddest story for me was the toddler’s death at Disney’s Grand Floridian. I had a nephew that same age and can’t imagine.

As a florida native i say, if you know theres an alligator in your pond and you walk your dog( especially small ones) along the waters edge… then getting bit or eaten by the gator is your fault. You KNOW theres danger but you CHOSE to ignore it and put yourself in harms way. Thats your fault, not the gators. Its obvious by the amount of residents here compared to the amount of gator “attacks” here, that most residents are smart enough to avoid the danger. And we are well informed and warned year round about the dangers and how to avoid them.

Verbiage matters. Those animals didn’t murder anything; they killed for protection or hunger. Humans need to respect the wildlife they encroach on.

The beast doesn’t murder, it’s doing what nature intended it to do. Predation to survive.

Jordans mother should get a medal she was incredibly brave, just goes to show what strength a frightened mother trying to protect her young has in the face of insurmountable odds . Bu t seriously do not swim where sharks are its asking for trouble . These are wild animals they dont care about you .they care about surviving .thats it

Murders are committed almost always with premeditation and intention. The victims were preyed on and killed by animals simply acting upon their beastly instincts..

Most shark attacks leave survivors because humans aren't prey to sharks, just alien and something to investigate. What a weird thing to lie about.
