Hey man, please don't lie. This is a very popular FICTIONAL short movie that is not based on real events. It tells the story of Soviet researchers who were testing a sleep-inhabitant gas on 5 prisoners who were (falsely) promised freedom if they could stay in the room for 30 days (not 15). Cameras absolutely did exist, it based in the 1940's. Surveillance cameras, however, were not very common. That's why the researchers used an intercom AND one-way glass, which means they could see into the test chamber. After the whole screaming guy thing, the subjects covered the one way glass so the researchers couldn't see inside, that's why they didn't know what was going on in there, or if anyone was alive. By day 15 the researchers stopped the experiment because of everything that happened, but it was meant to go on for longer.
There is more to the story, but that's the gist of it.

Also, the pictures you provided of the "subjects" are actually of a life-size Halloween animatronic called "Spasm".
