There needs to be a waiver for acknowledging the dangers of going into zoos like the one Mae went into. If you get out of a car knowing there were dangerous predators around you the facility shouldn't be at fault. Its extremely unfortunate that someone died but it is a safety you waiver once you get out of the car. The zoo did everything right. It was the customers who didn't.

I remember being in the outer Banks. I was about waist deep and suddenly a man screaming was at me and my 2 year old daughter while we were boogie boarding...I looked back and there's this giant bull shark behind me going after the fish in the wave. The wave hit and I caught it. I straightened up and felt for the ground holding my daughter and detaching the board from my wrist. The man was walking out with his arms open and I flung my daughter to that man and he caught her. I saw him bring her to safety and I swam as fast as I could. I realized I literally threw my 2 year old daughter like a football feet over to him. 😂😂😂 I guess my adrenaline kicked in and my only thought was, "Get her out of water!!"

My family and I visited a German safari park one summer, there were tigers in an enclosure but there was a rocky outcropping where the tigers could climb up and jump over if they really wanted to. All of a sudden we saw a teenager stand up through the sunroof their head, arms and upper chest outside of the car then we saw one of the tigers lying on the rock take note and stand up. I swear we thought we were going to witness an awful attack but the staff had a four wheel drive and they drove up at speed blasting the horn, the teenager ducked back down and they were screamed at by the staff and then were escorted from the park. The worst thing was the teenager was in the car with his own parents!! I'll never understand how humans can be so careless with their lives.

When someone shouts shark... you shouldn't be so foolish to automatically assume it's a joke. They are making all that noise and splashing in the ocean for 90 minutes to attract the shark in, and didn't have the sense to get out until two people were attacked...

#1 How can people that study marine life for a living ignore the word SHARK. #2 The Zhao family had no right to sue. They blatantly ignored posted warning signs. #3 Very sad.

I believe the park handled everything correctly. When you work with dangerous animals, you know the risks.. when you get out of a car knowing you are surrounded by dangerous animals, you know the risks.. for the animals to be euthanized for the stupidity of humans and for acting on their nature is not right so I am glad they let that one live. Take responsibility, people! Animals are animals! And they will act as such!

The way that old lady jumped out of that car into danger to save her daughter is unbelievable. She looked like a 25 year old sprinting. It’s amazing what adrenaline can do to the mind and body. That being said she was a boss. Stupid daughter should have never gotten out of the car. She was that family’s demise
