never pick flowers in Australia. Below the petals, there's a 99% chance of finding at least 4 redback spiders, 2 snakes and a shark.

Doing so leaves you defenseless against groups or airborne kamikazerantulas.

I remember working in a cafe and seeing this BEAUTIFUL Australian woman come walking in. I mean, she was a goddess! Anyway, there was a spider the size of a half dollar on the counter and she smashes it with her bare hand and laughs. I knew then, I would marry that aussie... Didn't tho, but that's okay she's got a world to save!

I'm surprised Aussies haven't developed their own venom by now.

i live in N.S.W, AUSTRALIA and the scariest thing in the bush is a KING BROWN SNAKE, they grow up to 12 feet or more and are very, very aggressive. i have been chased almost 2km through the bush by one, till i got to my car and jumped on the roof, when i looked down it was striking the front tyre, now that's scary.

Drop Bears, you left out the Drop Bears. We lose more tourists (unreported to keep our tourist industry alive) to Drop Bears than all the rest together. Cuddly Koala, huh! They'll getcha.

I come from WA and I have personally encountered 8 out of 17 of these animals in the wild and 13 of them in zoos
I am surprised that the Australian honey bee was on the list, I have been stung many times and it isn't that bad
Personally I think the king brown should have made the list.

flying Fox's are not scary at all.. yea they have bat wings other than that they look like a dog they snuggle lick your face come to you when you call them. i worked at a zoo and it was like having a dog with wings he would fly over excited when i arrived in the morning and hold onto your chest while licking your face and rubbing his head on your neck like a cat does. they do make great pets..

The worlds largest fence was made to keep the dingoes out.
Rightfully named the rabbit proof fence.

The bee is mean, but please don't kill it! Honeybees are dying out so quickly and we need them.
