As one of those "old men" myself, I was very touched by your reaction and thoughtful reflections, Blessing. ❤️ Yes, Neil Young pays a lovely tribute to this ranch caretaker, honoring him in just the way you suggested seems appropriate. As you probably know, Neil is the "Young" addition to Crosby, Stills and Nash that made their sequel album (which included him) even a bigger smash than their debut LP.

But in pursuit of your admonition to pay attention to older folks (like me, I’m 79), if you haven’t yet, check out Hello in There by the equally brilliant John Prine. Lovely reaction as per usual. This is a song from the 70's, yes he is a great story teller, unique voice, humanist, organic .... some of his work is similar, acoustic feel and some more rock feel, in the 80's the guitar became more distorted
