Gary Chalk Was Optimus Prime/Optimus Primal for my Generation of Transformers sans Transformers Robots In Disguise (2001) on Fox Kids which was Neil Kaplain but Gary Chalk held that role tight for 10 years and watched People like Mike Judge, Seth MacFarlane, Dan Castellaneta, H. Jon Benjamin and Trey Parker and Matt Stone voice the same characters for a long ass time

I met him 19 years ago at Cybercon Expo in NYC. Great and funny guy. Got him to sign an animation cell from my favorite episode, “The Return of Optimus Prime Part 2.” Got that with a DVD of the second half of the third season from Rhino Entertainment. One of the greatest days of my life. 😃

David Kaye, Garry Chalk, and recently Chris Hemsworth are all great as Optimus Prime in their own ways, but Peter Cullen will always be *THE* Optimus Prime, and that’s not just an opinion, it is a *FACT*
