Finally got around to remaking this video with better audio.

Just bought this game a couple of days ago. I played on survival mode, i can handle a couple of zombies just fine... just not hordes outside of every other house. I thought that builder mode is like a creative mode your video taught me that i was wrong. Thank you, i'll play on builder mode for now to learn the game. Thank you so very much!

I've started on apocalypse mode after getting the game thinking it was normal mdoe and so far I was survived a week. Never knew it was the hardes mode so now I feel very fearful of it but whatever I'm doing, it's working I guess.

In the custom sandbox you can load the presets and alter them. I’m not great at combat- and the difference between builder and survivor is drastic. I load in survivor then reduce the population multiplier in the advanced zombie options to builder level (.2) then each time it feels too easy I increase by .05 or .1. Save the settings for fast loading.

Ive only played on apocalypse but this confirms all the combat guide vids I have seen for dealing with hordes are on survivor. (except for the traps that should work)

In custom sandbox, the real difficulty is set primarily by the total number of Zeds combined with the percentage of Sprinters you set. Length of day and various other settings like loot and respawn make some differences too, but mostly how many sprinters you have to deal with at once makes the game harder. All walkers and shamblers is pretty much easy mode. For me, the sweet spot is population x2 with 10% sprinters (I have a mod that lets me set the percentage more precisely.) it's hard, but survivable if careful. You can set the game to "impossible" if you really want to, population times 4 and 100% Sprinters, you will never live past 5 minutes.

That explains a lot! In my first game I choose Apocalypse and ran in circles like an idiot and got killed, then I tried again in Apocalypse being extremely paranoid and stealthy and somehow got to live a month, and now I tried Survival and died in like a day LOL

Im an xp 1.2-1.6 enjoyer, Often go for 1.3 or 1.4 and yeah Multihit is a must for us Long Blunt players tbh

I have this sandbox preset, the combination of survival and Apocalypse difficulty.normal population with thicc horde, zeds spawn every 3 days they also decay every 3 days, random zombies, with "strong" in zeds strength, with normal health, extremely rare all loot but changed it later to only guns and ammunition. low conditions cars, low spawn and loot spawn every 2 months. multi hit on for fair fight.
