Project Zomboid's Hidden Hardest Challenge

Project Zomboid is an open-world isometric survival horror video game in development by British and Canadian independent developer The Indie Stone. The game is set in a post-apocalyptic, zombie-infested world where the player is challenged to survive for as long as possible before inevitably dying.

'Til Death Us Do Part was a story included in Project Zomboid as its own game mode. It served as the tutorial to introduce new players to the basic concepts of Project Zomboid, like base fortification, scavenging, and fending off hostile undead and survivors.

In 2013, 'Til Death Us Do Part was removed from the game, along with NPC survivors, with the release of version RC 2.9, due to NPCs being far too buggy. The Indie Stone did not abandon the story and have stated they still have big plans for NPCs and the story of Bob and Kate.

You cant loot or do anything inventory related in the tutorial after you press Q which means you cant switch to the knife to actually try to kill the herd

i accidentally survived my first tutorial by bolting into the woods, when i realized the only way out was death i submitted to the horde

I hope they add the tutorial cabin in the map, it’s always swarmed with Zombies and you can even Spot “Jane Doe” among them.

One thing that nobody mentions is that in the tutorial level there is a secret lab in the top left corner of the map and I don’t know how to make my player invincible so I can’t figure out what is in it but there is a secret there.

When I died for the first time in a normal run I accidentally closed the game lol

From experience, you never actually starve or get dehydrated, get tired, and maybe not even fatigued. You can still stomp zombies to death, so it would basically be a test of endurance.

I remember years ago the tutorial level (upon being different) had loot that could spawn - including modded loot. It was fun to see what you could scavenge in the house before preparing for the inevitable.

In fact it's possible to kill all the zombies if you are skilled enough, obviously you will die of hunger cause after you press "The Cure" key, you are unable to open your inventory.

'Gasmasked one' seems to have managed to clear all the zombies by killing them before doing the shout by bringing them to him little by little and stomping on their heads

I'd like to see a mod that adds the tutorial to the list of challenges. You spawn in, there's no actual tutorial. Just like a 2 minute timer before the horde spawns in. IF you survive the horde, you get to attempt to make your resources last as long as possible? Maybe add one seed packet or something? It could be done for sure.

I actually tried surviving the tutorial once. I managed to kill a number of zombies by using the limited shotgun ammo and I did stomp a few. It is possible to completely lose the zombies in the trees but the real killer isn't the lack of weapons its the fact that zombies get up from being knocked over faster than usual. It is possible to kill a few but I think you might get exhausted before you can take them all out. Would be a tedious challenge but based on my analysis if you had about 3 hours to kill you might be able to get it done lol.

I alerted the horde, but quickly jumped into the little portapotty. I guess i yelled far enough away that they made no attempt on my little shack, so i tried waiting them out.

if you can get on the 2nd lvl and break the floor tile at the top of the stairs. they can't get you. there was a sledgehammer, you could find if you was lucky. but it was super rare.
