If you live in a inland town in England in the north , it is horrendous . Traffic non stop, no nature around at all, no birds singing, no rivers, just concrete pavements, and rows of terrace houses . If you can afford to escape for 2 days on the coast the difference you feel is amazing .

Buddha spoke of this never ending unsatiated desire for possessions. It ruins the soul, I believe was what he said. It becomes a never ending saga.

This is amazingly good. The other trap in life, is to feel you have to have things, to not be a loser and belong to group. I have a lovely local park to go to, which is my little garden of Versailles. Ok, I don't own it, on a title, but I'm only temporary anyways so there's no point.

I can walk into some of my favorite stores and enjoy smelling different perfumes, touching different fabrics and trying them on but not really feeling the need to buy. Whereas a few yrs ago, I’d get antsy to go shopping and buy something in hopes of that thing giving me an instant thrill. As I began my spiritual awakening, I also began purging and essentially it made me feel lighter and able to let go of my past thru releasing objects and finding fulfillment in experiences.
