Speaking from experience, sometimes passing out from the pain is the nicest thing that could happen.

Having experienced my back locking up and knowing just how much that hurts. That's a very brave and misguided man. He should have taken the pain medication.

I'm a big guy (6' 2" over 350lbs) and I fell down the last two steps of my stairs (luckily it wasn't higher up) and shattered my leg. Took four guys to haul me up the stairs. I love our emergency guys! They do so much for us! They even let me pull the sheet over my head when they got me out the back door and onto the gurney so I could freak out the neighbors. Absolutely love these videos, and I'm sure they could make one out of me!

I sneezed once and put my back out. That's when I accepted my middle age.

As a 24 year old with bad backs running in the family, give me the strongest you've got

“I can take it.” Narrator: He could not take it

This is why it’s important to have an experienced EMT on these calls, once this happened to my Dad & he was stuck on the couch & couldn’t move, these 2 guys who couldn’t have been older than 30 just said there wasn’t much they could do & kept trying to get him to sign some forms but he obviously wasn’t having any of it. After they left we picked him up & drove him to the hospital ourselves

When it hurts so bad that you pass out, it's a blessing to pass out

The framed picture in the background of him bent over the exact same way is sending me 😂

One of his rare skits where the patient is actually legitimately in need of medical support and not just an idiot

The stronger than pain defiance was so strongman in that facial expression it was incredibly relatable and something everyone sees or does in these sort of moments with many people.

Wisest advice a medic ever gave me is "We dont offer pain medication to be polite. If we offer its because we think you should take it. We dont think you're tough if yo refuse, we think you're stupid."

“I don’t need pain medication” is usually something you only say once in your life

I had my back do that once. I was crying. Didn't go to the ER but after what seemed like forever I was able to take a muscle relaxer and that slowly helped
