One of my favorite things we're taught in medical school is that a possible side effect of adenosine (due to its rapid effects on the heart/circulation) is "a sense of impending doom." For the patient that is, but also for the provider sometimes haha

Adenosine is such a wild trip. It only lasts for a few seconds but it's the most "oh no, something is deeply wrong" feeling I have ever experienced.
