Sad had to end. Highly suspenseful. Moore was perfection. Nice to see familiar faces: James Mason and Anthony Perkins. Fantastic action adventure. Terrific story. Successful ending. Thx for presentation.

Roger Moore is always Roger Moore in every film he made.

1980. My favorite Roger Moore character. As good a thriller as you can get, non-stop, fast-paced action to the end. People may think, it's only a movie, but men like Ffolkes actually existed, helping to keep England safe, and it's rather frightening to think they don't make them like that anymore, to continue protecting things. Single-minded, incorruptible, certain of the right way, decisive and loyal. Men like that are not allowed to take part in anything in the modern, P.C. correct socialist world of Britain today. The country will pay dearly for that some day, I think!

First seen this film on projector screen at ' Stroove house ' in Dunkeld on a trip with school, one week residential holiday for poor kids, was really great, memory will stay with me 👍🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

Opening scene filmed at Dunguaire Castle, Kinvarra, Co, Galway. There, s a lot of thumbs down for this film but for my money its streets ahead of the shite that passes for entertainment today !

Really started getting a proto-Die Hard vibe as soon as I saw Anthony Perkins and his crew.

One of my favourite commandos movies: great action, an engaging story, a great cast, good suspense, and great moments of typical Bond-Moore witty lines. 😊

Brilliant film with a good ending
As a cat owner myself I really love the ending when Roger Moore was given those 3 kittens
Even better was that the lady from the boat presented the kittens to him
Yes it's a movie and therefore only acting but still that kitten thing was just brilliant knowing that the character that Roger Moore played loved cats
It was a rare human touch to a movie

Really fun, offbeat film. Good acting by the lead actors, fun dialogue, decent action and direction, and kittens at the end...what more could you ask for?

At 1:35:54 I guess the Prime Minister’s car number plate is a fairly obvious nod to Roger George Moore.
