Who the hell is letting a kid in the co-pilot seat in the first place? "Bring your kid to work day" isn't meant for a job where 100s of lives are placed in your hands. I know it was the 90s before 9/11 and when things got a lot stricter with airplane safety but effing hell... rip to all those souls. Horrible avoidable tragedy.

I saw a documentary abour this. Who on earth would let their child sit at the controls. Also, ot took them a very long time to realize what the child had done. Horrendous!

Moral of the story: never trust your kids at work

I remember I watched an air crash documentary on this. The pilot let his kid sit in the pilots seat and put it on autopilot . He also let the kid move the wheel. The pilots did not know that moving the wheel disables auto pilot and the tragedy happened. This is why you don’t bring kids to areas that are very dangerous.
