I actually do this. When I got bullied, I used to say:
"She's right, Maybe I am ugly and fat."

"Nobody likes me."
"Nobody wants me here."
and most emotionally:

"Everyone hates me."

I actually tend to be very negative and pessimistic towards myself and try to be positive towards others. I guess it’s because I know what it’s like to feel down and have no emotional support, and it doesn’t feel right seeing others feel the same. So if I’m not feeling well, at least it’s nice to see others feeling good. 😊

I think we’re all extra critical when it comes to ourselves and though you may not be able to stop those thoughts you can at least redirect them and acknowledge when you do it so it becomes less frequent of a habit. I hope everyone continues to work through these issues and become a little bit better than they were yesterday 💚

"Do You Talk Negatively To Yourself?"
I feel like every human being, no matter how happy they may seem, talks bad about themselves, to others or themselves, some less or more than others.

"Self Worth is, and will always be internal."

The biggest truth I've ever heard this year.

2:01 I had to listen to that three times. If something bothers you, it bothers you. It doesn't matter if others don't think it should. That is so powerful.

A number of things I think to myself often:

I feel unworthy of life.
I feel unworthy of love.
I feel like I'm not enough.
I feel ashamed of who I am as a person.
I always think of the past and the things I did both as a kid, teenager, and adult. I find it difficult to move past those situations and look forward.
I feel guilty for making my friends and family worry about me.
I feel I'm not this "great guy" that everybody claims.
I feel I'm too dumb for my job.
I feel I'm too dumb for university.
I feel I'm not good at my job.
I feel I have no value.
I feel I'm weak willed.
I feel on all aspects, physically, mentally, and emotionally I'm weak.
I feel I'm a burden on others.
I feel it'd be easier on everybody else not having me around to drag them down.

“It’s not worth trying” is something I didn’t even acknowledge as detrimental by limiting myself. It’s just so scary to try sometimes, but that’s where I can grow. Thanks!

"I'm just another idiot who got played."
"I'll never be out of my siblings shadows"
"I'm not confident like my friends are."
"My father was right about me all along."
"What did I do to deserve all of these great people and opportunities in my life?"

These are just some of the things that roam the corners of my mind.

But I'm learning that I don't need to be what my mind tells me, and I don't always have to let my heart be my guide. I just need me and those closest to me that love me the same as I love them.

Worse thing I ever said to myself was in my late teens. I said " You can die tonight if you really want to." That was such a time of intense loneliness and stress. I would fantasize about dying and being spirited away. Then I realized that would only hurt those who truly cared about me. It wouldn't teach anyone about how to treat others with dignity. Those that made me feel isolated would just have more negative things to say until I eventually faded from their memories. I started accepting myself for who I am. I let myself enjoy things that I like not caring who thought it was weird and dorky. Fast forward 4 years and I met an amazing man who likes all the dorky things I like and we are happy together. We moved 1000 miles from where we met and are building a great life for each other. I think what saved me was my choice to put more time into those who care for me and cut off those who don't.

I think the worst I've said to myself (and recently) is: "Thinking that everybody can be happy is funny, because I know I can never be happy"

When I make a mistake, I carry it for a long time. When a supervisor calls on me, I automatically think, "What have I done wrong?" Also, the "I am not enough" usually has "good" in it. I usually am not good enough. This video truly speaks to me.

"It's not worth trying." This is one I do all the time. I tend to overthink and come up with all the ways I wouldn't qualify for a task/job/oppertunity.

"I don't deserve love." I'm so terrified of hurting someone or repreating past mistakes in a relationship. But I'm working on communicating what I want/deserve in and hoping that my next relationship will be fulfilling.
