It is worth noting that Curse of Opulence does get worse when you give it to someone else. It gives a gold to the player attacking the cursed player as well as Curse of Opulence's controller.

Creatures cannot mutate onto humans unfortunately, so the bastion protector trick won't work, still solid tech

With the coretapper you could put charge counters onto The Ozolith and move them to your commander as well.

The haaktos idea is super underrated.
I made that strategy when he released and it still holds up to this day.
You just have to handle the drawbacks of forced attacks and double red double white pips

i used to have a very casual zedruu deck where i would cast huge eldrazi, get their cast trigger, then give it away to any player who agreed to never attack me with it. i then played all the typical pillowfort enchantments, but when the time was right id use my homeward path, get back all my eldrazi titans and swing in for the win

I used the "Universal effects" thing in my Phenax deck, but just a little.
Because the deck uses "Mesmeric Orb" already and I included "Teferi's Puzzlebox" to power my "When you draw, opponent mills..." and mess with their hands. SO I used "Daring Thief" that already wants to tap, to then untap for the Inspiration. So I exchanged those universal artifacts or "Fraying Sanity" for game useful pieces of their deck like "Crucible of Worlds", "Bolas' Citadel" or "Parallel Lives", if not at least a Sol ring or whatever mana-rock they had.

I love the idea of turning my stuff into artifacts, I do that in my Sen Triplets deck and it's amazing for protection pieces like Leonin Abunas and Hanna's Custody

I'm running a Greasefang with that set of ideas.
Mind Rake feels great
Even Miasmic Mummy is incredible (etb each player discards 1) for 1B, coming down before greasefang and setting it up.
Using flicker cards to reuse miasmic mummies, protect greasefang, or keep vehicles feels fantastic

For added spice to the universal voltron run a commander and background pair and animate the background for hilarious cmdr dmg kills with your background. I tried it with Wilson and the doublestrike background, but wilson was too strong alone.

Immard is SO FRICKING COOL. I really thought about replacing my commander Harbin, Vanguard Aviator with him because Harbin is Azorius and I wanted that extra oomph from Red along with a few other red specific pillowfort and "don't touch me" sorts of spells but I just found that he absolutely doesn't really synergize with my "go wide" Soldiers strategy unfortunately. But very, very cool artwork, very cool name, great mana cost, and really cool abilities. I'd totally like to build him at some point.

I always enjoyed donating people paradox haze as zedruu. Very fun to have them think inwas doing them a big favor where in reality I was only giving myself another upkeep trigger and keeping the benefit.

I have had that exact discard theme with my Greasefang since the beginning, and I think it works a lot better than sacrifice. Crazy fast.

I love playing Greasefang already, but I really like the discard idea. I'd leaned into Key to the City and various looting effects, but I like this.

Hey Demo! Nice video as always. I am currently brewing a Xyris spell-slinger where I fill up my deck with pump spells such as Invigorate, Become Immense, Might of the Nephilim etc. since it draws you cards equal to the damage dealt, it quickly refills your hand too despite the drawback of these one-time-use spells. To top it off, you might as well can kill someone with commander damage by tossing in temur battle rage!

My favorite Voltron Command is Thrun, the Last Troll. He comes with Hexproof and regenerate. Cyclonic rift and exile board wipes are the only way to get rid of him.

Woah just noticed charge counters on Immard are a flavor reference to street fighter, since you have to hold down or back to charge guile’s moves in street fighter

If you're running Greasefang as a discard commander, consider Divine Gambit as some versatile removal.

Haha no way I did a charge counters / counters matter Immard deck a couple months ago, I love Immard, the art is one of my favorites and his effects are really out there, it took me a really long time to figure out how to build him.

i built Guile as a vesuvian duplamacy deck. it was really fun, i didnt mind adding charge counters to some and took off from others, the most i ever had was 8 Guiles out at once the white blue legendary (some sort of azourous cat man) from new capenna that gets counters was useful too, just gotta move a charge counter on him so whenever a guile enters it would get 2 charge counters and whatever else i have on the cat man

I love Greek mythology so much, so I made that exact same “Achilles” deck a few months back!
