I’m a solo founder, my SaaS is nothing like a micro SaaS, it’s a user research platform (for startup product managers), unlike other same category products mine focuses on making the user interview, live usability testing (for prototypes and website), live observations and surveys process seamless. Plus, automation of screening, participant recruitment, analysis, unification of qual and quant research findings, synthesis of insights and opportunities, ideation and prototyping along side your research.

I did a lot of user research with almost 100 product managers, a lot of coding, built an automation test desktop tool (and JUnit runner) to end-to-end test all these features.

The plan is to become profitable enough to hire a second developer, a product marketer and lawyer/tax accountant.

I know I'm a little late to this video, but just wanted to say I am super impressed that you have presented genuinely good ideas that have an actual relevant use case, unlike other presenters that regurgitate old, no longer relevant ideas. You sir have gained another subscriber.

Maybe make a video that shows us how you balance it all, 2 companies, remote teams, YouTube and your life? I have a wife and 3 kids and head of engineering about to be promoted to cto. Where do I find the time?

Regarding SSL management and custom domain, this is already supported by cloudflare, can you please throw more lights here Simon ?

Guy, the fact that you can build a SAAS doesn't mean you can sell it. The market is pretty saturated and it will be more expensive to sell than the value you get.

Simon can you make more videos about how you got your first 10 customers and then 100 and how your strategies evolve depending on where you’re at?

I am close to completing and launching an MVP of my own no-code SASS platform but I feel like I'm living in a different reality to Simon who seems to want to cater to the SASS creator market itself. This makes me scared. Is that all there is? With a platform of my own I am obviously way beyond implementing a micro-SASS. To me, all these ideas seem so niche and many feel like fleeting trends in a quickly evolving marketplace, easily supplanted by other products. My no/low-code RAD tool is designed to be used for internal purposes by SMBs (with public facing possibilities). I've been programming such business applications professionally for 25+ years, and with my new tool could crank out 95% of the same apps out at 10x the speed or more. Those kind of internal business apps aren't going anywhere. For the cost, my tool would even be worth it as a prototyping tool. It was my frustration with the complexities of many technologies and frameworks which led me to have to build it just for my sanity. It may seem similar to other products, but I believe it has a novel take on the development problem and is more like a webified no code super MS-Access. It's not that my project couldn't be adapted to some of the ideas in the video, but a lot of the ideas expressed require extensive coding and experience of domain areas I am unfamiliar with. I am looking for business ideas, by the way, that aren't B2B, API, social or AI related. That seems like everything these days, but it really isn't. As I said, watching this makes me feel like I am living in a different reality. Apps built with my no-code SASS would not only provide a solution but a means for the customers themselves to continually adapt and grow the solutions either on their own or with minimal help with my company providing consulting services for edge cases. I guess I am really creating a consultancy with a SASS tool at its main product. A platform tool that could be open source(to mitigate lock-in concerns if required) for sufficiently large customers(with some restrictions), and can even be run locally or on premises through traditional software licensing. I am open to loss-leader projects at the moment and partnerships with subject matter experts who want to build something to cater to a particular business area.

Mmmmm I'm interested in this automation use case would need more clarity on what type of automation you are asking for? I am full stack dev / unicorn 🦄 who is also a product designer.

Been itching to get into a micro saas and I'm an avid notion user

I want to build a saas over chatgpt but I am not sure how to go about, using api from openai, how to pay for API and how can I know the users will use a certain amount of tokens?? Please help this process, and can I charge users to use my platform??? How

Every time I watch your videos, I would like to build one of your ideas because I already thought of them in the past. 😁

Hi Simon, I'm assuming by now you may already have this covered. It sounds like the integration project has legs to me. Just revisited the video, so both Low Code and an SDK is the ask. What are the 5 services/platforms you need/want to integrate with most?

What are some ways to market your SAAS while building for free or small budget ?

MergeAPI integrates with a lot of other services, IDK if it's low code though
