Smegma doesn’t cause cancer. It may cause infections though. Penile cancer is caused by seggsually transmitted viruses and certain bacteria.

Other than religious reasons, this was the reason why circumcisions were considered for male newborns. 🤔 During WWII, in the field, many servicemen had penile infections due to lack of daily washing.
