Proof new cars AREN'T worth it? DRAG RACE

We’ve got our hands on all three editions of the Audi RS3, and we’re about to find out just how different they all are!

For starters, let’s check out the stats. The Mk1 RS3 is powered by a 2.5-litre turbocharged 5-cylinder that can put down 340hp and 480Nm of torque. It tips the scales at 1,575kg, and if you’re looking to pick one up in 2022 it’ll cost you about £25,000.

As for the Mk2, it’s also powered by a 2.5-litre turbocharged 5-cylinder, but it’s well up on power, producing 400hp and 480Nm of torque. It’s lighter than the Mk1, at 1,510kg, and the price of one today is about £35,000.

Then finally we have the new Mk3. It’s powered by a (you guessed it…) 2.5-litre turbocharged 5-cylinder, putting down 400hp and 500Nm. It weighs the same as Mk1, at 1,575kg, and it currently costs £56,000.

You should do a drag race between all the different versions of the Lamborghini Huracan that have come out throughout the years from the normal LP 610-4 to the latest Technica LP 640-2.

The newest is the best car. Engine more or less the same like MK2 but the gearbox, and the new differential makes it a better car

To be honest nothing major difference between the 3 in terms of performance, only the garnish

Aerodynamics! The RS3 saloon has a lower roof line. And the saloon shape produces less drag than hatchbacks. Combined: Better aerodynamics which gave it the edge. At low speeds accelerations depends much on weight. The higher the speed more important is drag.

For the price I'd take a MK2 saloon. Interior is still fresh, looks modern, sounds great (if you go pre-OPF) and seems not that much slower than the MK3.

I love the current RS 3, but something about that 2018 RS 3 makes me have a soft spot for it and still looks modern today ~ so does that 2012 RS 3, nice and modern ~~

Love the oval tailpipes on the new RS3’s! But there’s something about the MK1 having the two tailpipes on the side which does it for me, looks epic! 😉
