What this video fails to mention how surprisingly different is the feeling of driving an open convertible. The joy of driving in an open car in a sunny weather or in a hot Summer night beats all the costs, believe me!

I had a convertible for a couple years! By far my favorite car I have ever had! Its well worth any "compromises" you may find

Convertibles with the roof down on a hot summer day are unbeatable. It's a whole new driving experience. But also, as convertibles generally have powerful cabin heaters, they are also lovely to drive roof down on a cold, dry winter day. Roof down driving in the summer at night is also an amazing experience. On a cold, wet winter day, they are fine too. The heater (and aircon if fitted) quickly make the cabin a beautifully warm and dry place to be. I'm on my second convertible and drive it all year round. If you can, get a two seater roadster for maximum fun.

Drive what you like. As a single man with no kids I just bought my second convertible after having sunroofs, Jeep, etc. I’d rather have a convertible it’s just better to me have fun and LIVE.

Every point was basically negative lol, so don't buy a convertible unless you really love the open air and the little sun we get here and there.

11. Pay for the optional heated seats.
12. Look for features like wind-deflectors and Merc's air scarf.

Bought an M Sport 1 series convertible back in April when it was raining, thought it was probably a bad idea at the time as I’d probably only get the roof down twice in the coming summer. Oh how wrong I was, 15000 miles later and around 5000 of that with the roof down and including 3 weeks down in the south of France, absolute bliss. My advice, go buy one

Buying a convertible in Greece:
8 months sun
3 months cloudy
1 month rain

Why not buying a convertible then?

I daily drive an s2000 and I have no problems I definitely had my concerns with convertibles, but trust me it won't matter at all once you own one

I have a Mercedes C43 AMG Convertible and it's bloomin lovely. I actually found this video to be a little negative towards open top cars which is a shame. There are a few trade offs, but these days the roof's are so much better and the noise is almost the same as the coupe.

We have had an mr2, slk r172, and now a 240i convertible. My other half absolutely loves a convertible. The comfort in the 2 series is surprisingly good. Fabric roof and no fancy air scarf. The car heats up a treat and it’s small and compact. Wind deflector works a treat

I bought a 206cc 1.6
never regret the buy. It looks fab still now, and it's metallic roof last longer than the non metallic ♥
