Done everything, but the “Windows can’t check for updates” balloon pops up, and results in error 8024400A. Running Windows Vista Business 32 bit with SP2 preinstalled.

Internet Explorer 9, the two updates related to it, and the patched PHP files weren’t necessary for me to get this working.

If this works it would be a godsend. I have many PC’s from throughout the years. Running DOS, 3.11, 98, NT4, 2000, XP Home, XP Media, XP Pro, 7 Home Premium, 10 Home & Vista Ultimate. Most of them have been put aside for my newer machines, but recently I fired up the Vista Ultimate desktop PC. Wow! I had forgotten how pretty it is. Now I want to buy a newer motherboard & CPU and do a clean install and multi boot of Vista, 7 & 10. Woops, I left out that I also have a PC running 8.1 . I hope to give your method a try 🤞
