TS100 - Original

After several years of use, I'm still amazed with the TS100 soldering iron!
Sure it was a little more expensive than a cheap $10-15 Weller, @ $55(2018).
and I've spent that for weller tips alone!

Using a 24v dc adapter it still heats up in ten seconds. Testing a new wedge tip(TS-D24) thought i think its a knock-off.
i love that it powers down if its setting after a couple minutes, and off for longer periods.
All customizable via micro usb port and open source software, from Github.
though I've never made any changes to original settings

One thing i did not like, is the thin housing/case!! It cracked after one use.
I epoxied it right away and was going to pick up a couple cases, but they have been out of stock for over a year.
And I've searched the world for them, some are even listed as discontinued? Really? On a $60 tool?!
I did find some 3d printer files for one, but it does not look good imo. Suppose i could edit/fix that.
