I also have said axe. I got rid of the set screw by taking the axe head to a local hardware store and finding a small bolt that threads into said hole. I picked up some Blue Loctite, added a small drop the the new bolt, screwed it into said hole till it was just flush on the inside. Waited 24 hours for the Loctite to set up. then I cut the head of the bolt off, as flush to the axe as possible. then using a file and fine sand paper. Got the bolt sanded down flush with the axe head. I have yet to blue mine, but that is the next step. Its a fine axe.
