A pro tip, always lube up the gasket on oil filters and fill up your oil filter with oil. This helps both with installation and helps prevent the car from running dry till oil can get pumped throughout the car. The only time its not recommended to put oil in the oil filter is when it is instaled sideways rather than up and down.

Make sure to oil the plastic o-rings around the plastic if you have any. This car might not have any but good to note with the oil housing that are similar to this porsche’s.

Missed a step it helps filling up the oil filter with oil and then putting on then you wont have to wait as long to have it measured right on the stick

Make sure to replace the o-rings gaskets (and lubricate them a bit to prevent future seizing) on the filter housing too! The o rings should come with the filter when you buy it.

Another tip is to get the engine up to temperature. If its hot, its viscosity changes (the oil gets thinner) so nothing is left of the old oil. And if its thinner, it has a higher cleaning effect because it carrys the dirt with it outside

Here's a tips. Before you change your oil filter and put it in. Clean it with clothes or use some gas to clear the oil, and then soak the new filter with new oil before putting it back.

You should actually rev the engine before checking the dip stick because it might not actually be full since no oil has circulated yet
