The personality thing is sooo true. I need to be able to have deep conversations with someone. It doesn't have to be about political science or the meaning of life but I find it really hard to be with someone who just wants to talk about shallow things; work, gossip, negative things in their day. I think everyone needs to set their standards based on what they too can offer. If you want a man with money then you need to have your own cash flow, if you know your a liar and a cheater then don't expect someone else to be honest and loyal, besides it's called karma. What you put out is what you get back, maybe not now but eventually.

If I have my own place and a child, then I am okay with men with kids who have their own place or who may not but has a car or something of equal or greater value.

Some times I think some women want so much from men, yet have nothing to offer in return then wonder why the guy uses them for sex. If that's all you have then that is basically all your worth. Know your worth, set higher goals for yourself and once you reach them, set higher standards.

My advice to girls who are looking to date is to set standards and don't lower them to please anyone. I've seen girls with high but realistic standards settle for less because they wanted to be in a relationship with someone who has no intention of getting serious.
