As a cyclist, I'm always hunched forward; on the rower, I get to lean back. The Concept 2 rower is the most elegant piece of gym kit I have ever seen, and it's almost as beautiful as a bicycle.

Something to consider from the perspective from someone either past the age of 30 or maybe has injuries to consider. I own the rower, the Echo bike, and the ski erg. I love incorporating them into circuit training or metcons together. However, In my opinion, none of these devices is designed to be used for long periods without interruption. My rower would kill my back, the ski erg would kill my shoulders, and the echo bike would just kill me in general. Interval training yes, using for 45 minutes non-stop, no. If you only have money for one and you want to be able to ride something for really long periods of time or zone out watching netflix, the Bike erg is the way to go (ironic, since that's the only one I don't own). I have a Wahoo Kickr snap that I use with zwift and my actual bike for indoor riding. They are all great machines tho, you will not lose on a concept 2 piece of equipment.

I use the Rower because it's low impact on my sixty year old joints, I love the form, I just put my music on and drift off, great for post cardiac events, it changed my life. Awesome bit of kit 😊👍

I use all 3 at the gym, and a must have is a spin bike. Best cardio and I don't know why you think its about sitting. Stand up and work it. You can do a lot with it, superb cardio, but it's not super great for core. The rowing machine, great as well, but your feet are tied down. I think the skierg is way under-appreciated. Very importantly, this is the one machine you are actually working from a self-supported standing position. That means your whole body is involved! This is invaluable! That fact seems to be overlooked so often. Great for leg conditioning, quads, calves, ankles and balance. You can use this to focus on arms during the pull down, or you can focus on the abdominal crunch. Every movement back up works your quads. You can do this as almost all quads. You can do this balancing on one leg. You can alternate pulling one leg up during the crunch. After I used the skierg for about a couple of weeks I had a much stronger back, abs, and more a flexible spine, and there was a cardio benefit. I do a lot of mountaineering backpacking...the skierg is a very similar movement to climbing while using hiking poles. On my last trip my brother asked why I could climb so fast...I told him the skierg (plus the spin bike).

Everybody gangsta till you row a 2000m all out.

Skierg + kettlebell swings will work the entire body. Skierg will work your front side. Kettlebell swings work your back side.

Watched this while on the bike erg this morning. I have both the rower and bike. As mush as I love rowing, getting on the bike is just easier sometimes. I use the time on the bike to catch up on youtube videos like these!

i feel exactly the same. i love my rower but i love sitting on my ergbike and just do some mindless sweat intensive training. the combination of the rower and the bike is pure joy. i normally begin with a warm up on the bike, then switch to my rower and for the finish back to the bike. only rowing is hard so the ergbike makes my training simply more enjoyable.

Variety is the spice of life. I have owned the rower since 2008 and just picked up a bike erg over Covid. Both are good for their own reasons. I am a MT Biker so in the off season I really enjoy the soothing, punishing nature of the rower to change things up. Both are tremendous! I think everyone should row, it seems like it is just a better overall workout.

I just ordered the ERG Rower but have been completely on the dense selecting between the rower and the ski erg. I like that the SKI ERG allows you to use it while standing which makes a difference while sitting down and working throughout the day.

Rower for me! I can only have one in my space, and need the full body and aerobic work. I’ll be continuing with some dumbbell-based weight work, so I’ll balance the upper body with that. I received my invitation from Concept2 this morning, and placed my order within the hour. I’m hopeful of kicking off 2021 with some new fitness work. Thank you for the great info!

I have had a rower since 2011 and recently sold it to upgrade and the new one came in yesterday. I got the Bikeerg a couple of months and and prior to that I had purchased the Echo Bike from Rogue. I’m almost 39 and have been in the military almost 17 years. Low impact is the way I’m going these days thought I have a garage gym and sold and upgraded this year. Tomorrow I start a 20/20/20 min Bikeerg/Row/Echo for a 30 Day Challenge. I diet ok but am want to try this experiment out. Thanks for the videos brother I enjoy seeing them.

I've used all Concept 2 models with the exception of the Dynamic, going all the way back to1983.

I have all 3: I say this order; 1: row (crossfit), 2: bike erg (great overall) 3: ski erg (why not). C2 all the way

DEFINITELY ROWerg!
Then BIKEerg
Then SKIerg

I have all three and they’re great but I think rowing is the best and easiest to build into your workout plan/goals.

Skierg is a great compliment to the bike and rower.

The C2 rowing machine changed my life. Lost 50 pounds in my 40s just by sitting there for an hour 5 times per week doing a UT2 workout while watching Netflix. Anyone who wants to loose weight and be as fit as possible should buy one. Combine it with a set of good bands for weight training or body weight exercises and you really don't need much more to get in shape.

My 2 cents. Concept 2 rower and ski erg either become boring or like a chore to use. There are also "dead spots" on the returns. The bike erg on the other hand is magnificent. There is constant tension while working out on it. You can raise the heartrate much quicker on a drop of a dime. Comfortable and effective long rides. The swoosh sound is a thing of beauty. Much better, lighter and durable than any other type of exercise bikes in the market.

Skierg, then rower then bike. Why, Skierg I find it helps more for swimming, & it gets my HR going like no other. Rower next because the bike is last because I road bike and cost aside, I think there are much better bike options out there. Just my take.
