The Concept2 RowERG is considered one of the best rowers on the market. It is not a smart rower, so it does not require a subscription to access content. Instead, it is affordable and solidly built. Yet, it is also lightweight and easy to store, because it breaks down into two pieces.

The RowERG is an air rower. It also uses a chain drive. These two features make the rower very loud. It is best for commercial use or in a home where others will not be disturbed while it is in use. The air resistance is limitless. The harder you row, the more difficult it becomes. A damper controls the flow of air into the fan, so you can control the drag. There are 10 levels.

The PM5 is the Concept2 RowERG’s monitor. This monitor is very accurate at tracking the meters you have rowed. It has games, workouts, and instructional content. The PM5 monitor is easy to use.

This is the best of the best rower. All collegiate rowing teams use this rower for dry land training. Every cross fit gym has these, and commercial gyms use them because they are so durable and well made. I’m 6’6” and 245lbs and this piece of equipment withstands the pressure I put on it. Buy this if you haven’t already.

Buying a rowing machine is simple. You start with the Concept 2, and then only rule it out if there is something about it you really don't like, or if it lacks something you have to have (gaming, Hydrow type classes, etc.). But you start with the Concept 2. Its the default choice.

Its reasonably priced. It works well enough, and is durable enough, for collegiate athletes to train on. Its light and strong. Its made in the US and parts are easily available if you need them. It can be assembled by anybody in fifteen to thirty minutes. And the monitor has tremendous functionality. It is as close to perfect as any cardio machine I can think of.

I’ve had my C2 Model D rower since the end of 2020- between my wife and I we’ve put just over 1million meters on it since then. Is it the ‘best of the best’ when it comes to indoor rowers? It is in my book, and plenty of other rowers (and athletes) feel the same way. And when you factor in the price of the C2 vs. the more expensive subscription-based rowers- and the fact that replacement parts and accessories for the C2 are very reasonably priced- the C2 is an even better deal. My C2 rower has been a key part of the changes I’ve made towards a heart-healthy lifestyle nearly 4 years ago… I put in the effort on all of my rows on the C2, on a consistent basis (twice a week), and I wouldn’t be where I’m at today without it.

Thank you for the review. I used one of these at work and was happy with it. I recently retired, so I'm going to get one soon for home use. The seat is a bit hard for longer workouts and tended to give me TB (tired butt), but I found that if I put a foam rubber pad on it, it helped a lot, so that's not a big issue. In any case, these are good rowers in my strictly non-professional opinion.

The fancy rowers with large screens nearly always have subscription fees as well which are ridiculously high and if you lose your Internet connection, you lose most of that too.
Everyone loves the Concept 2 for its simple but clever design, and they rarely break down.

Have had my Concept 2 model C for 27 years now, flawless. I really don't think the sound of the fan is that bad considering people listen to TV and Music at a much higher level.

Literally watching this after just ordering the concept 2 😁 I'm pretty excited, I got into rowing about 5 years ago but I didn't do much research at beginning and bought a bodymax infiniti machine which has a stupid amount of resistance and very limited, especially with the foot rests and motion of movement so I'm upgrading, Thanks for the video and if possible I do have a couple of questions.

I ordered the standard leg machine, I'm 5ft 4 in height does the height of the machine matter due to a person's height? Also with the foot rests how do you determine the correct placement? I'm size 9 foot I think you were 8? But then does my height play a role also I get baffled 😂 I just like the best form as possible

I heard the echo rower offers some competition but when it comes to reliability and brand reputation concept 2 beats them all

C2 is an awesome product--but the one area where Assault Rower has them beat is on the seat. Assault's seat isn't overly mushy, but it is comfortable. The C2 seat has me sort of wiggling side to side after a little while, it's not as comfy on the sit bones.

I wander if I have a subtle nuance towards training as a word that says their shirts say Kansas (cos thei ring cabbage (heh)) and my shirt gets the laff, we say, mine admits oats :( heh
