Hard to even imagine what a life changing event just running with an Olympian would be, let alone beating one in a race. Im sure Isaac is going to remember this day for life.

The kid who ran with you from Hendricks, his name is Cole Hale. He’s 13 and in 8th grade and like your story It’s his first year ever doing cross country as well at 13. That kid Isaac was a beast runner. But the no. 2 kid has the same story you began with. He appreciated running with you.

This is amazing. Obviously you could've blown these kids out of the water, but you used this as a way to be a coach on the course. As he passed each group, he was coaching them up on their specific position in the race. When he reaches the front, with Isaac, there's no doubt he could've darted straight past him, but instead, Nick decides he will push him and really coach him up. Great role model.

Dude I'm so proud of your accomplishments. I love that you've found a passion as a content creator that actually makes content worth watching in my downtime. Much love and continued success your way!

Thank you for this video Nick, Isaac is my son as well as Elias, a 7th grader running this race also. Thank you for being an inspiration to them and many kids.

We all eventually lose to a middle schooler. Loved the heart rate being posted so we could see you're really working. This course had more turns than almost any I've ever seen. Nice race!

He’s pretty good for only being 13. He looks like he could keep that pace for a 5k

If anyone thinks Nick sandbagged the end, check the HR data. He's solidly in the 190s so you know he's giving it. That kid is fast and his form is amazing. He's still years away from having the young adult strength that makes world champions, so the potential is fantastic.

Nick, the support you give other people is inspiring. You try as hard as you can while still being encouraging to others. Pre congrats on the 1M 😆

I'm impressed by your ability to encourage others but even more impressed by your humility and willingness to accept defeat and/or "embarrass" yourself. As a world class athlete, that can't be easy

What's most interesting is that Isaac was leading the course from the start, and then controlled it, keeping the right distance from followers to avoid being exhausted and keep energy to finish brilliantly. He is naturally athletic, but first he acted with his head. Brilliant!
And I see and understand what you have done. Kudos for that.

That's impressive on Isaac's part. Also, not shocked there was a little rivalry there between the two top runners.

Nick is testament to how important it is to highlight your achievements despite your shortfalls. Notice he's an Olympic runner not an Olympic medalist, but that doesn't matter cause making it to the Olympics alone is extremely impressive

This was one of your best videos yet! It's always fun to watch you run, I was rooting for Isaac to have a kick at the end. But nice job OLD MAN (I'm 39) you almost caught him 👍🏾

I just started running and the algorithm picked that up and put this video on my recommended feed. This was so cute, I love how you are able to be a positive role model for these kids! I'll for sure check out more of your content!

Wow, that's like racing your own child. It's amazing that some families out there likely DO consist of parents and kids running this kind of pace. It's beautiful.
