Can we PLEASE stop the overhype? Turn those windshield wipers down. Of course the wind isn't stopping. It's a hurricane. Overhyping this little stuff is only going to make those not familiar with the actual feel of the different Cat levels think they can stick out a Cat 3 or Cat 4 because "Beryl wasn't that bad. The news people made it seem worse than it was for ratings."

Those poor windshield wipers, don't even know what they did to deserve ultra high mode.

This is minor historically. Yes, the winds are strong.

Not compared to Carricou or did we just forget it hit there at Cat 4 and flattened most houses on that island yet nobody seems to care about that intersecting how self centered people are nowadays.

So you burdened the fire department and put everyone else in danger. While you site there (after going towards the storm) telling everyone else to leave… “media member” ? What qualifications makes someone a “media member”

Could you imagine what these drama queens are going to be like when a real hurricane happens. It'll be like oh my God, it's the end of the world. For people that have lived on the Gulf all their life it's like we get a day off work.

I so appreciate the updates and all of that but reporters/anchors just do NOT know just how to report these storms without getting so dang dramatic. Do they teach this in Journalism school? It can be so annoying and upsetting.

As bad as this was, it wasn’t that bad for a tropical storm/hurricane. So to all you Millennials and GenZs out there complaining…suck it up. 🤣
