What the heck is up with Tiktok's obsession with dishwasher pods? This cannot be safe for your sofa.

a. It is not ideal cleaning 🧼 solution for the couch.
AND
b. The damp fabric needs sun ☀️ to dry up and kill bacteria, otherwise it leaves a bad smell too.

For the couch, you use a mini vacuum cleaner. It makes it much easier. For scent, you use fabric freshener.

Is that a dishwasher pod? I don't think you should use dishwasher detergent on a sofa. The chemicals can't be good to be putting into the sofa and then it will come into contact with your skin possibly when you sit on the sofa. All bad!

I just feel with this type of material the cleaning of it is so tricky, because when you wipe it with mild detergent it’s actually just absorbs the detergent and dirt together and then it builds up and doesn’t smell as nice. Leather sofas are much easier to clean but got bored of mine after 15yrs and switched to a fabric sofa. Doubt the upholstery cleaner on my vax cleaner does much; so today I’m taking a huge risk as I’ve decided to try cleaning my chenille sofa covers on a woollen cycle for 15mins at 30 degrees, then turn machine off for 5mins to switch to rinse cycle and spin at 400 😱. I know crazy but I want reassurance that my sofa is clean, the only reason I’m trying this is because I’ve found my dry clean clothes including my imitation leather jacket with trim has fared very well on woollen cycle and not shrunk well wish me luck😅

I’m ahead of you I got a ikea Ecktorp all I have to do is take the cover off and throw it in the wash done. Fun

I use a bissell green to clean my upholstery…

Use the same method.

Will work for stains on ANY cloth/ cloth surface
