Instead of a duster I just use some toilet paper to pick up any loose dust and hair. Then you can just flush it!

Our hospital used to use In Cide. (I retired 10 years ago so I have no idea if they still use it or not.) Please keep in mind it has a 10 minute dwell time to ensure effectiveness in killing bacterias and viruses.

A lot of this stuff I was never taught growing up.
my mom was bedridden sick and what I learned was how to cook and how to keep her alive.

Even as an adult I would try to clean the toilet and at that time YouTube was not a thing.
you showed me a way that I can clean my toilet without killing myself!!
I am disabled and getting down and getting in the nooks and crannies of the toilet base is absolute agony!!
but you showed me the tool and the proper way to go about it!!

Imagine doing that, the rest of the bathroom. Plus beds, sweeping, and dusting. Even kitchenettes, 20× a day. Lol I was a hotel housekeeper, and executive at Marriott for over 30 years. Gosh, I'm old. I'm exhausted. 😂❤

I disagree with the pumice stone. Years ago I scratched up and ruined a toilet, using pumice. I live in an area with hard water, so my toilets are an ongoing battle. Every 6 months I use a shop vac to remove all of the water from the bowls. I then use ZEP acidic toilet bowl cleaner. It's stronger than average cleaners. Let it sit for 10 minutes. Toilets always look like new after I'm finished.

All of this with a few added tips: I like to reuse gentle used cleaning wipes I've used on sinks, etc., for toilets... NO lingering clothes, sponges, etc., for me.
Wipes can also be used to clean space between commode & tank.
Those same wipes or gently used paper towels can be used to dust down toilet if one has no old duster, because hair and dust is a pain in the azz when trying to clean properly.
Also don't forget space between tank and wall or the little white caps on commode.

It's not necessary to vacuum out the water. Just pour a bucket of water in the toilet bowl directed at the drain. Do NOT push the lever. The tank water won't be released, so the bucket of water clears the bowl. This also often helps flush a minor blockage.

Just flushed the toilet and immediately that stopped the water in the water .That brings down the water level. Also paper towel is a must no need to dust the toilet and clean and toss clean and toss. I see too many people use fabric and they use the same fabric and they don’t even turn it inside out to wipe the seat where you sit and it’s just transferring, I don’t get it

I’ve seen a previous video where you mention to use a duster to remove hair from the toilet. I’ve been doing it ever since, and what a game changer!

I really like using the lysol lime and rust in the black bottle, gets all those hard water stains and buildup so easy!

Thw swiffer is a great idea! I usually just use a piece of paper towel to get the dust off.
And putting the brush under the seat to dry is genius!

Love this. This is how I clean my boy bathroom but I always end by standing back about 2 feet and spraying vinegar/water mix indiscriminately all over the area. There always seems to be something I missed that they peed on 😂

I would think long and hard before using pumice. I've heard they scratch the porcelain which then causes "thing" to stick more.
