Ignite the Power of Your People with Communities of Practice

Don’t just think of your Community or User Group as just a “Community”, think of it as a “Community of Practice and Engagement”

Communities of Practice are not just within an organization, it’s across organizations as well. It’s how I think of “Communities of Practice and Engagement” and its how we need to learn together given the ever increasing pace of change and new tecnology.

During this session we had the opportunity to learn from Phil Reid and the great work Community of Practice work that he has been doing at JPMorganChase.

🌟 Communities of Practice are an under-appreciated means of unlocking the vast benefits that are proven to result from connecting people based on an intrinsic, 'grassroots' passion for a shared domain of knowledge, in a social, community-based environment. In this session, Phil Reid will share the effect the Ignite initiative has had at JPMorgan Chase, one of the largest financial institutions in the world.

💡 We discussed how participants can get started or move faster on their own journey of community building, as well as how to access specific guiding resources from recognized industry leaders.

Phil Reid loves to talk about communities of practice, emergent leadership, cultivating a culture of continuous learning, and helping people with their careers in Technology.
