#1 BEST AIRBNB ON THE GARDEN ROUTE - Day 8 of our Big Garden Route Road Trip

It’s not like there is a lack of great places to stay in Wilderness, South Africa. But we might have just found the best of the lot. I think all I have to say is that you get collected on a row boat….

Kaaiman’s Cottage is an incredibly unique airbnb experience, maybe the best airbnb in South Africa. You can’t get there by road technically since it is on the bank of the Kaaiman’s river in Wilderness. So when you arrive at the river you get collected by boat.

You are then rowed across to your cottage, which is nestled amongst the trees with unobstructed views of the river and the ocean.

The cottage is basic but very thoughtfully constructed and furnished. With multiple viewing decks, a fire place and fully functional kitchen. We’ve stayed in many airbnb’s in our travels and this one definitely makes the cut as one of the best.

Another thoughtful touch to this amazing garden route accommodation is the fact you can use the kayaks for free and there is an AMAZING waterfall a 10 minute paddle away.

Our Garden Route Road Trip has been amazing, and taken us to amazing places. With this unique airbnb being one of the highlights.
