Neutrinos are the lowest mass elementary particle, and that allows them to do some really weird stuff.

Nutrino enters the chat
Nutrino exits the chat

Fun fact: Every country has ninjas. The ninjas from Japan are just the ones that are so crap at their job that you sometimes see them.

Not only do we not know the mass of the neutrinos, we also don't know where this mass comes from! It's not from the standard Higgs interaction. Neutrinos are really weird!

I heard about these from Stargate like 20 years ago. Samantha Carter would be happy to hear that we can detect them now.

A hundred million neutrinos per second? [EDIT: a hundred TRILLION.] I feel so violated.

I'm almost disappointed that this short wasn't another seemless loop 😂

I read that supernovae can emit death fields of neutrinos. Considering how un-interactive neutrinos are with regular matter, what would be the number of neutrinos per second needed to shred you? (Beyond being a f#ck-ton above 100 million)

It’s incredible that something that interacts so little with matter is what makes supernova so explosive

Could you do a video on some of the lesser known fundamental particles?

Latham Boyle is using my manifold.

The universe is likely a sea of neutrinos which uses charge, beta decay, to regulate local pressure.

A neutrino mediates beta decay. Deciding if an electron gets to express its Coulomb force or whether it is put in orbit and the proton/electron complex is instead a neutron.

They're about the size of electrons yes? What role do they play if they pass right through anything and Earth itself?

- They're way more abundant than regular matter
- At short distance, barely interact with regular matter, but at large scale, the accumulate interaction could be interesting.
- and has their own mechanism to get mass.
There's any Hypothesis linking Neutrinos and Dark Matter?

So you're telling me that Neutrinos are like all the words and comments from my haters? :D

How do we know that they're not just rare?

iamjimgroth

Thats why they are called 'Ghost Particles'. We barely detect them.

Hey this is rly cool but which fundamental force does the conversion of neutrinos come under? Is it the weak force, maybe the Z boson. And also wouldn't this violate the conservation of lepton number because an electron neutrino has a different electron lepton number compared to a muon neutrino?

Thanks

Hey science asylum, I have a question which is how to equate between the space time symmetry and the fact that conservation of energy is being slightly violated increasingly with the expansion of the universe.

I think I’m allergic to neutrinos. ☠️ ☠️ ☠️
