Neutrinos: elusive, tiny, and full of surprises. They do indeed have mass, but where does it come from? Do they owe it to the Higgs field? Turns out, this is one of the great unsolved mysteries in particle physics! In this video, we delve into the captivating world of neutrinos, their 'flavors', their unique 'handedness', and the puzzling question of their mass. Join us on this quantum quest as we explore one of the universe's most intriguing particles. Remember to 'Like', 'Share', and 'Subscribe' for more mind-boggling mysteries of physics!

I think the interaction with them and space-time itself obligates them to have a little bit of mass regardless. Unless it’s a photon going at the speed of causality.

Ooo... I like this info, going to have to read up more. Thnx!

Are we sure right-handed neutrinos don't exist? Maybe the Higgs coupled them, but the interaction is so weak for some reason, and that would also be why they have small mass.

Yay!!! Finally something in nature that is left handed. As a fellow southpaw I get excited when I see things inherently left handed 🤚🏽

Neitrinos might get their mass eigenstates from the Yukawa coupling with the Higgs field, that isn't excluded at all.

So gluons are the messenger particles for the strong force. They are massless, and must travel at the speed of light. Because E=mc², they are supposed to be responsible for 90% of the mass of the proton. How is that?

Ok the question I was wondering was about Hawking Radiation having mass. That's what i have to read up on...

Do neutrinos being left handed seem to be the reason we don’t know why they have mass? What is left handed and right handed? Why aren’t there right handed neutrinos? What would a right handed neutrino be like compared to left handed?

I’m going to take these questions to ChatGPT so don’t worry about answering, but I will take a free job at CERN after I come back with answers. 😁

"They can be either right or left handed . But we've only seen left handed."
"what would be the difference?"
"We dont know, we dont know where they get mass from"

WHAT?!?!

Do physical observation have any effect on nutrinos?
