God gives you what you need, not what you want.

This is something that I struggled with in my early Christian walk. I remember asking God one day why I no longer felt Him. His reply was, “ because I have asked you to walk by faith, not by feelings.”

Once you realize that your suffering and hardship is God directly intervening in your life, it really helps.

In 2019 I was at Mount Zion, Utah unpacking a Honda Shadow for a few days at a campground. I turned to my then fiancé and said, "I don't want to sufffer anymore". Since then, life has become increasingly difficult, while at the same time very blessed. I often feel an absence of Him in my life and it can be draining and depressing- until I remember that the Lord works in mysterious ways. It's not an easy path, is it? I expect more challenges and heartbreaks along the way. When I go to church there is a palpable sense of relief, purpose, and renewal❤

I stopped praying and begging God for help, and instead have been asking him for eternal rest, once and for all. This life sucks.

Feelings and reasoned thinking are two sides of the same changeable and unreliable coin. The presence of the Most Holy Trinity may be best experienced in complete stillness (hesychia) by quieting all the stimuli - your mind and emotions and your senses. God is always Present like the bedrock under a rushing river....sustaining you by His energy. He is there. Quiet yourself. ☦️

God doesnt even want to show his presence in any way. God doesnt show to me he is real in any way. Why would i believe in him?
