Alien: Romulus: How Sigourney Weaver Inspired Cailee Spaeny

Cailee Spaeny, star of the new film ‘Alien: Romulus’ spoke about how she tried to channel her inner-Sigourney Weaver for the sequel while attending the UK Gala Event in London’s Leicester Square.

She plays the young space explorer Rain, who encounters a deadly threat on an abandoned space station.

‘Alien: Romulus’ is out in cinemas on Friday 16th August. Report by Jodie Mccallum.

Watching the movie, I was thinking to myself, she reminds me of a young Sigourney Weaver. There were even a couple scenes where she kind of looked like her a little. She did an excellent job. I hope there's a part 2. This movie was so good

Cailee Spaeny is actually quite pretty, all dressed up and wearing minimal face makeup. The alien movie had to make her look grungy and unwashed with no makeup and baggy work clothes.

personally feel that the characters felt belivable because the FACES of the characters didn't look like HOLLYWIERD actors they just looked like what i would expect colony orphans to look like.

i don't think Cailee Spaeny is typecast in this role but David Jonnsen on the other hand may get typecasted also the RAISED BY WOLVES vibe continues to echo from Scott Free studios so It feels like Ridley is supportive and i truly hope the Sprit of Dan O'Bannon is behind this and other space links parrlell projects

I love the THEME of this movie and movies like it.

space colonization has dangers and they covered key ones in this movie and Raised by wolves.
the understanding Space colonizers may need to be androids.

the movie is a copy of the other alien saga, nothing original about it, and this girl has nothing to do with Sigourney, there's no comparison whatsoever. Sigourney is the queen of the Alien movies and anyone that comes after her, will not cut it.
